With a large number of entries from the performance scene this year, considerable interest has been shown by young artists who are using their own bodies in their artistic work as a form of expression.

The performance, Would you like a little More? tackles the question of what happens when one "guzzles" too much.

Pulsating colour video images represents the communicative medium in Adams Apple.

re-cordis, remember, give back through the heart is based on the physical work and improvisation training programme in which Ulrike Rosenbach directs her students at the Academy of Fine Arts - Saar. The subject taken by the performance group from Saarbrücken is to combine individual examples of work via an integral concept of space and improvisation.

The performances from the students at the University of Wales, Institute of Cardiff, all retain a common element: They seek interaction with each individual observer.

Hi, I'm Claire confronts questions of teenage sexuality - and is reminiscent of uneasy childhood situations. By creating an atmosphere of privacy, Claire Shillito lets the visitor become part of her reflections.

I Taught her how to Play thematises claustraphobic feeling calling to mind those childhhood games of hide-and-seek.

Stroke provokes feelings of vulnerability and intimacy in the observer. Using touch, the performer creates a direct relationship between the performer and the involved visitor.
