With a large number of entries from the performance scene this year,
considerable interest has been shown by young artists who are using their own
bodies in their artistic work as a form of expression.

happens when one "guzzles" too much.

programme in which Ulrike Rosenbach directs her students at the Academy of Fine
Arts - Saar. The subject taken by the performance group from Saarbrücken
is to combine individual examples of work via an integral concept of space and
improvisation.
The performances from the students at the University of Wales, Institute of
Cardiff, all retain a common element: They seek interaction with each
individual observer.
Hi, I'm Claire confronts questions of teenage sexuality
- and is reminiscent of uneasy childhood situations. By creating an atmosphere
of privacy, Claire Shillito lets the visitor become part of her reflections.
I Taught her how to Play thematises claustraphobic feeling calling to mind those
childhhood games of hide-and-seek.
Stroke provokes feelings of vulnerability
and intimacy in the observer. Using touch, the performer creates a direct
relationship between the performer and the involved visitor.
