The largest Latin-American festival of video art and multimedia will present
its competition programme from several countries within the Southern
Hemisphere; from countries therefore, which due to shear physical distance
alone, have little chance of becoming a part of the North American or European
exhibition and festival landscape.
The selection of videos
to be presented in Osnabrück will not merely show
highlights of the Brasilvideo festival programme, but will provide an overview
of contemporary Brazilian video productions. Among others, the most recent work
from Carlos Nader will also be screened.
Solange Farkas, Director of the festival Videobrasil in São Paulo will
introduce the programme.
