Beschreibung:
KNIESPIEL ist eine Begegnung von Videomontage und Minimalmusik, ist eine visuelle Musikkomposition oder eine auditive Bildcollage. Minimalmusik trifft auf Tradition. Der Tanz einer Schuhplattlergruppe wird in seine Einzelteile zerlegt und nach Prinzipien der Videomontage und Minimalmusik neu zusammengesetzt. Zunächst wird die Takt- oder Komplexlänge vorgestellt. Wie im Ton erscheint auch das Bild nur als kurzer und durch einen Kasch begrenzter Ausschnitt der Wirklichkeit. Die Takte werden mit Bildschlägen gefüllt bis ein Bildrhythmus entsteht. Neue Bildschläge beginnen die Gewichtung der Rhythmen zu verschieben. Die Bildschläge gehen wechselnde Beziehungen zueinander ein, bis die Montage zum Bildcluster tendiert und der Tanz mit dem originalen Schlußton endet.

Description:
KNIESPIEL is a composition of video montage and minimal music, a visual musical composition or an auditive visual collage, where minimal music meets with traditions. The dancing of a Bavarian folk dance group is decomposed an re-arranged according to principles of video montage and minimal music. At first the duration of a cadence or complex is presented. The picture appears, like the sound, only as a short section of reality, the section being limited by means of a coated paper. The cadences are filled with visual strokes until the creation of a visual rhythm. New visual strokes start to shift the weight of the rhythms. The visual strokes begin inter-relationships until the montage almost becomes a visual cluster and the dance ends with the original final sound.
