Eine orangerote Farbfläche mit einer nicht sofort zu dechiffrierenden Grafik, dazu elektronische Soundflächen
auf der Tonspur: ›falcon‹ beginnt mit einem starren, visuell fesselnden Bild. Bald verändert sich dieses: die Farbe wechselt zu Rosa, über Weiss, Gelbgrün zu Orange und Rot, parallel zum vibrierenden Soundtrack. (...) Karø Goldts Vorlage dabei ist das reale Bild, eine Fotografie, die am Computer bearbeitet wird. (...) Die Harmonie zwischen Bild- und Tonebene, sowie die
bewusste Einbindung gestalterischer Referenzen an andere Bildmedien machen Karø Goldts Arbeit zu einer faszinierenden Position in der gegenwärtigen digitalen Videoproduktion. (Claudia Slanar)
Description:
An orangeish red field of colour with a graphic which is not immediately recognisable, accompanied by the soundtrack's electronic fields: ›falcon‹ begins with a static and visually arresting image which is soon transformed. The colour turns to white and then pink, yellowish green changes to orange and red. This takes place parallel to the vibrating soundtrack. The foundation
employed by Karø Goldt is a representational image, a photograph which had been altered on a computer. The harmony of the
acoustic and audio levels and the conscious integration of formal references to other visual media make Karø Goldt's work a fascinating contribution to contemporary digital video production. (Claudia Slanar)
