Ton und Bild zeitgleich und in direkter Beeinflussung entstehen zu lassen, ist die Demarche die der Computeranimation BEAM zugrunde liegt. Ausschnitte aus vier Live-Interpretationen wurden für die vorliegende Videoversion mittels Magnetaufzeichnung montiert. Die computergefertigte Musik der Gruppe ¯Touch el Arab® nimmt direkten Einfluss auf den Videocomputer und rhythmisiert mit Beatsignalen die Bewegungen der Formen. Die 3D-Effekte werden manuell gesteuert. BEAM ist ein Resultat der kontinuierlichen Zusammenarbeit mit der Gruppe ¯Touch el Arab®, ein Produkt aus Proben für eine Live-Performance mit Computermusik und Computergroßbildprojektion.
Description:
The demarche on which the computer animation BEAM bases, is the creation of sound and image in total simultaneity and direct influence. For the present video version, various takes from four live performances were assembled by means of magnectical recordings. The computerprocessed music of the group ¯Touch el Arab® take direct influence on the videocomputer and the beatsignals determine the rhythmic of the forms. 3-D effects are manually controlled. BEAM represents the result from the continous cooperation with the group ¯Touch el Arab®, a product derived out of rehearsals for a live performance combining computer processed music with large-scaled computer projection.
