Filmmaterial des finsteren und umstrittenen Films, ›The Lost Weekend‹, einem Meilenstein des Hollywood-Films aus dem Jahr 1945, mit bezauberndem, neuem Filmmaterial. In ›Delirium‹ enthüllt Maziere eine beunruhigende und dennoch verführerische
Welt von Schönheit, Überfluss und Sucht. Dieser archäologische Ausflug in unser kollektives Unterbewusstsein benutzt Poesie, Kino und Psychoanalyse, um einen melodramatischen Traumtext
visueller Sinnlichkeit zu schaffen.

›Delirium‹ forms part of an ongoing series on
the human emotions which includes ›Blackout‹
and ›Remember Me.‹ These are psychopoetic
works which bring together digital technology
and melodrama into new and emotionally potent
forms. Reworking source material from
the 1945 dark and controversial film Hollywood
landmark film, ›The Lost Weekend,‹ combined
with compelling new footage. ›Delirium‹
is a multi-screen video installation. In ›Delirium,‹
Maziere reveals a disturbing yet seductive
world of beauty, excess and addiction. This
archeological trip into our collective unconscious
draws from poetry, cinema and psychoanalysis
to create a melodramatic dream text
of visual sensuality.
