Die Erfahrung von urbanen und ländlichen Räumen aus dem intimen Blickpunkt eines Fahrradfahrers. ›Area [Code]‹ dokumentiert kanadische Räume, während der Filmemacher von Küste zu Küste radelte. Der Film ist eine Mischung aus bewegten und unbewegten Bildern, die, während der Fahrt gesammelt, vernäht wurden, um die verschiedenartigen Gemeinschaften, die in Kanada existieren, wieder zu erschaffen. Die Künstlerin dankt dem Canada Council for the Arts, dem Ontario Arts Council und der Stadt Ottawa für ihre Unterstützung.
Description:
The experience of urban versus rural spaces as perceived from the intimate perspective of a cyclist. ›Area [Code]‹ documents Canada spaces as the filmmaker cycled from coast to coast. The final film is a mixture of moving and still imagery collected along the way and sewn together to recreate the diverse Canadian communities that currently exist. The artist would like to thank the Canada Council for the Arts, the Ontario Arts Council and the City of Ottawa for their support.
